Dr. Beth, I have two children: a daughter who is 8 years old and a son who is 11. My daughter is a lot like me. We practically have the same personality. But my son is a lot like my husband, and I get irritated with him in many of the same ways I get irritated at my husband. I love my husband and my son, but I don’t always like how they act and I don’t want to take my frustrations with my husband out on my son. How can I bridge these differences and not make my son feel like his sister is my favorite?
