Dear Dr. Beth,
I’m 61 and I have been teaching high school for what seems like 100 years. I liked it and had a real passion for my profession for the first 20+ years but I’ve gradually lost enthusiasm over time and now it’s just a job. I could retire at any time after age 62 and get a modest pension and start collecting social security or I could work longer and put myself in a better financial position. How do I decide when to retire?
